Jill Malouf
From Courtroom to Canvas
After years in law – from criminal prosecution to civil litigation — Jill Malouf stepped away from the pace of the courtroom and returned to the clarity and calm she found in painting. What began as a personal outlet soon evolved into a meaningful artistic journey.
Early recognition, including New Texas Talent (a prestigious statewide honor recognizing emerging artists) and Best of Show honors, affirmed her shift. Jill left the legal world behind and fully dedicated herself to painting.
– Recent installations include 13 works at the Hall Arts Hotel, known for its museum-level art and influence in Dallas’ arts community.
– Jill’s works are also found in galleries and private and corporate collections across the US, designer showhomes and even a Dell tv commercial.
Through every collection, commission and exhibition, her work continues to blend texture, layers and serenity into pieces designed to resonate long after first impression.

Complex Layers, Organic Shapes & Nature-Inspired Colors
Jill’s work brings a sense of calm and presence without demanding attention. Her layered process invites you to pause and take in the slow, time-intensive details woven throughout each piece.
She works in distinct series to express different styles and settings, and it’s not unusual for collectors bring home more than one piece.
Jill often returns to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she and her husband Carter were married. The paintings she creates there reflect the unhurried pace and warmth of the desert, while her Dallas work carries a more structured approach. Each environment leaves its own imprint on her practice.
